Kurdish director Jamil Rostami’s latest feature is an urban story about a middle class couple who become distant from each other as a result of their busy lives. Zhuan is doing her PHD on old Kurdish singers and follows them to wherever they go to record their voices. Her field research often keeps her away from home for long time. Bardiya is a filmmaker and he becomes annoyed with his wife’s long field research trips. On her return to home she senses the uneasy feelings of her husband. Bardiya is working on his new film project and is about to choose a female character for his new film. When Bardiya becomes more distant as he gets busy with the casting, Zhuan becomes suspicious that he might be seeing another woman.
