Despite local and international campaigns opposition to the construction of the destructive Ilisu dam, successive Turkish governments continue to push forward the controversial project, which will submerge a vast area including the ancient Kurdish town of Hasankeyf. The dam would bring social, economic and environmental disaster to the region and would displace 78,000 people. This documentary looks at the life of the local population, their fates and longings, and gives a voice to those whose opinions have not been considered. Until now.
